Do you know about 2P's of cyberworld? If not, here is the opportunity to know those 2P's. It's nonetheless, what we call it 'Privacy and Piracy',so called cyber rights of every onliner. Apart from the tag 2P, they can be too stated as 'Head and tail' of a coin. Yes, just like a coin used as tossing material in cricket, the 2P decides the nature of cyber space and cyber rights.This 2p will not applicable to all countries, where the basic rights of a online are betrayed. In that way, China is close enough to the category of privacy killer as it kills the privacy of every Chinese with 'Golden shield project' launched to censor the online activity in 2003. Also, it is awful to place India in the list of piracy breaching countries.
Why now piracy and privacy? You might have heard and somehow may even involved in breaking the piracy rights of film, series, program or a document through pirated sites like Tamilrockers, Tamilyogi for the exclusive access on copyrighted content. But apart from break the copyright, you're leaving your privacy rights, which is quite worth than billions and trillions. Horribly, third party sites alone can't be tagged as privacy killers, tech giants like Google and Facebook were the most sensed privacy killers with user knowledge in the name of user development program and ads What do they do with our data? Just like census data collected by state or central government for building database about the individuals in the city. These tech giants collects the data about your choice of interest, Preferred online content and much more. Hopefully, as per the legal norms in data collection, they left out login credentials aside. The collected data in the Google database could be used for generating revenue by renting the bundled data to shopping sites in the name of online advertising. What could be conclusion? As I told earlier, the collected data are used to display advertisements through uniquely generated advertising id, which could be found under ads option in Google menu of settings tab (Menu may change in accordance to smartphone manufacturer). Interestingly, Google provided a chance to opt out from display advertisements using the id. But, it is sure that, Google will stop collect your data after opting the option. Also, the giant mentioned that, ' Opting out doesn't stop interest-based ads that aren't served by Google. So, when you use an app that's outside of Google's Display Network, you may still see interest-based ads from other companies. Also, Google apps such as YouTube and Maps for Mobile may show ads based on your Google Profile. Visit the Ads Settings page in your browser to control the use of your Google Profile for ads.' What can be done to protect privacy? Along with google's option of opting out of ads, using proxy server or VPN could bring better privacy. Also be cautious and read privacy statement of every web portal before you sign-in . Apart these, Think twice before positing something or adding something to the cyberspace. Because, everything what you did and do are history, because you're been cyber stalked by tech giants for business.
